László Moholy-Nagy
He was a dedicated artist who strived to explore new media and experimentation throughout his career. He worked in many disciplines, including typography, sculpture and photography, writing, and graphic and stage design. He was an essential member of Bauhaus School, where he wrote two influential design books and advocated the integration of technology and art. Moholy-Nagy was known for his innovative aesthetics. He took "photograms," which are cameraless photos, and used industrial materials in his painting and sculpture practice to explore the effects of light, space, and motion in art. His Bauhaus teachings have influenced many artists and designers. Moholy-Nagy's work has been featured in exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition, his work has been sold on the secondary market for seven figures.
